He Wrote Ideas About Government. He Said That People Have The Natural Rights Of Life, Liberty, And Property-Which Was Later Changed. He Also Said That Government Was Created To Protect The Natural Rights Of People, And Only Has The Specific Powers The People Consent-Give Promission-To Give It. That Sentence Is Saying That The Government Only Has Great Powers Because We The People Have Allowed It.
So Then The Colonists Wanted Independance From England. This Is Where The Declaration Of Independance Comes In. The DOI Stated, Or Proclaimed, Independance From England (Duh). It Said That People Have The Natural Rights Of Life, Liberty, And The Pursuit Of Happiness. It Was Written In June In The Year Of 1776. (This Is Why We Celebrate The 4th Of July, We Won Independance July 4th, 1776) Thomas Jefferson Did Most Of The Writing (And He Was Also A President, But Thats Not Even Near This Unit.)
